If you are involved in developing, reviewing or designing your organisation's community engagement strategy, this section will take you through some of the key steps. Its aim is to help you assess the current state of play within your force or authority, and to develop future plans.
If you are involved with community engagement on the operational side, you may find that it is worth having a look at this section so that you have an understanding of how your work fits into the broader organisational strategy.
Police forces and authorities are expected to integrate community engagement activity with otheractivities and workstreams and to ensure that it is not seen as "stand alone". This section should help you to assess how well your organisation is currently integrating community engagement into its day-to-day business and to facilitate even better integration in the future.
