Embedding engagement
Taking stock
Having assessed the risks associated with a project, done outline budgeting and analysed opportunities for partnership work, you will be able to assess whether a project is both viable to undertake, and beneficial for your organisation and others.
For larger projects or strategy work, it may be helpful to produce a project scoping/feasibility document, at this stage which outlines the following information:
- Aims of the project
- How the aims tie to corporate aims /vision and service plans
- Detailed methodology of the project
- Risk assessment
- Outline costs
- Contingencies
- Working with partners
- Project team
- Timescale /outline project plan
Production of this scoping document will allow to you assess the information you have, and gather additional information if required (such as partners' interest in your specific proposals). Sharing this with colleagues, managers and partners will allow you to further formulate your proposals, refine them or abandon them if plans to engage around a specific topic already exist elsewhere, or a similar project has been done.
